Rituparna Sengupta was interested in the arts since a young age and learned painting, dancing, singing and handicrafts at a painting school, called Chitrangshu, is an Indian film actress and producer who is known for her works in Bengali cinema, Hindi cinema, Bangla cinema, and a special appearance in a Telugu film. She has garnered the National Film Award in 1998 for her work in Dahan. Her first film was Shwet Patharer Thala with Aparna Sen who played her mother-in-law.
