After Malayalam crime thriller Oppam, Janatha garage and Namadhu movies superstar Mohanlal is entertaining his fans with this action thriller Pulimurugan, which is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Mohanlal clearly apt to the character in the film. This is the 4th film of Mohanlal this year. It is the first independent screenplay written by Udayakrishna of the Udayakrishna-Siby K. Thomas scriptwriter duo. Produced by Antony Mulakupaadam, Pulimurugan is expected to make huge collections at the box office. 

Performance wise Mohanlal outshines everybody in the frame. The amount of hard work Mohanlal kept for the role trekking those hilly tracts and Fight Scenes. Peter Hein who is known for many popular Indian films as action choreographer was selected for many fight scenes. Kamalini Mukherjee was brilliant to her role. Jagapati Babu comparatively has got less screen time than the above two and he too was up to the mark with his manly looks.
