Bhakta Tukaram is a 1973 Telugu devotional & biographical film, based on the life of saint poet Tukaram, produced by P. Adinarayana Rao on Anjali Pictures banner[2] and directed by V. Madhusudhan Rao.[3] Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao played the title role, Anjali Devi, Sivaji Ganesan in lead roles[4] and music also scored by P. Adinarayana Rao.The main theme of the film is Tukaram, a small trader, in spite of being a family man, leads a highly pious life. Though he faces many hardships, his faith in God remains steadfast. What is the reward for his devotion to God.
