“SOUND OF SILENCE” IN WORLD GREATS SECTION OF MONTREAL FILM FEST

Dr. Biju’s new directorial “Sound Of Silence” has been selected to 41st Montreal World Film Festival in the section “World Greats”. The film festival will be held from August 24 to September 4.

Biju took to his Facebook page today to announce this. Montreal film festival is Canada’s oldest international film festival and the only competitive film festival in North America recognized by FIAPF.

Commenting on the selection to the film fest, the director wrote on his FB page: “I feel honored that this is the third time my film selected to such a world’s big recognized film festival. “Perariyathavar” (Names Unknown) premiered at Montreal in 2014. “Kaadu Pookkunna Neram” (When The Woods Bloom) premiered in 2016.”

“Now in 2017 “Sound Of Silence” in prestigious “World Greats” section and is the North American premiere of a film. ..So for “Sound of Silence” the journey begins….After Eurasia Film Festival Kazakhstan in July now to Montreal in August….And yes much more is coming………….,” Biju added.

This film has been made in Malayalam, Tibetan and Hindi languages. It has been shot in Himachal Pradesh with theatre artists and Buddhist monks from Tibet.“Sound of Silence” is being produced by Dr. A.K. Pillai under the banner of Maya Movies.
