It is a wrap for Thalaivar Rajinikanth's much-awaited science-fiction film 2.0, which is the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster Enthiran. Actor Amy Jackson who plays a pivotal role in the Shankar film tweeted about the end of 2.0's shooting straight from the sets.

Rajinikanth will be seen reprising his role of the scientist Dr Vaseegaran and the robot made in Vaseegaran's image itself, Chitti. Akshay Kumar is making his Tamil debut with 2.0. He is essaying the role of the film's prime antagonist Dr Richard.

Rajinikanth's previous film Kabali, directed by Pa Ranjith, was a modest success at the box office. Kabali was equally lauded and derided by sections of Rajini's fans for deviating from the usual masala fare Thalaivar is famous for.

However, Shankar and Rajinikanth, have time and again, delivered solid commercial successes. All the films they have made together, from Sivaji to Enthiran, have been box office hits. Consequentially, 2.0 is expected to break box office records after its release.
