Shane Nigam's 'Eeda' Gets Censored With A Clean 'U' Certificate

Editor B Ajithkumar's debut directorial 'Eeda' starring Shane Nigam and Nimisha Sajayan is slated for a release on January 5, in the new year. The movie which is touted to be a love story set in North Kerala has finished it's censoring formalities and has bagged a clean 'U' certificate with a runtime of 152 minutes, 32 seconds. Produced by Collective Phase One, 'Eeda' also features Surabhi Lakshmi, Alencier Ley, Manikandan Achari, Sudhi Koppa, and Sujith Shankar in the leading roles. Lal Jose's LJ Films is distributing the film.

B Ajithkumar won the National Award for Best Editing for 'Naalu Pennungal' in 2009 and won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2002, 2013 and 2017 for 'Nizhalkuthu'/'Bhavam', 'Annayum Rasoolum' and 'Kammattipaadam' respectively. Collective Phase One is an initiative started by a bunch of filmmakers including director/cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, production designer Sunil Babu, sound designer Resul Pookutty, editor and now director Ajithkumar and cinematographer Madhu to create an alternative path in filmmaking and marketing. The collective started off with 'Annayum Rasoolum' and followed it up with 'Njaan Steve Lopez'.
