Priyadarshan looks back at his first film as a director

Reported By 11 May 2020

Veteran director Priyadarshan might soon be approaching a major milestone of directing 100 movies but the filmmaker recently chose to look back and share a glimpse from where it all started.

Sharing a clip from his first movie as a director, Poochakkoru Mookkuthi that featured Mohanlal and Sukumarai, Priyadarshan wrote, “A nostalgic moment from my first film which was 38 years back as a director. In memory of Sukumari chechi, our Kukuumma.””

The filmmaker was awaiting the release of his biggest movie yet – Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham – when the country went into lockdown. The film’s release has been delayed to late 2020 or next year.
