Petition Filed In HC To Stall The Release Of Manju Warrier's Aami

Manju Warrier film Aami, the biopic of much-admired writer Kamala Das aka Madhavikutti is expected to hit theatres soon. Ahead of the release of the movie, a petition has been filed in Kerala High Court seeking the ban of the film stating it is made with the intention of supporting and justifying Love Jihad. The petitioner also has accused director Kamal of twisting the real-life incidents Madhavikutti in the name of artistic freedom. Earlier, in an interview given to a leading daily, Kamal had said that he is expecting protest and criticism and is ready to face it all.
